I've finally had it with IE. Been setting up FF tonight and I'm pretty pleased. Having a bit of troubles with fonts though. Some stuff is kearned w/the letters so far apart, its really hard for me to read. Doesn't seem like it should be that way.

Photoshop pix loads like lightning in this compared to IE. What a difference! If I wanted to edit something, the click factor in IE was aprox. 1 minute, now its about 5 seconds (less the editing, of course).

I'm having troubles reading some things but I'm pretty pleased overall. Mr. Green

IE:
I'm browsing google image on 2 browsers with with another browser or 2 open on sites pertinent.

Mouse click:
IE closes all browsers without warning. No dialog, just nothing. All browsers close.

I have the patience of Job but this was a bit much. 5 times in 15 minutes? Come on Bill, the harder you try, the worse it gets!!!!!

Sick of it!

Ya see...I told ya!!!

I only use IE when I'm makin website pages, to check they are cross browser compatible....and I tell ya, even using it for that short amount of time frustrates the shit outa me. (was just using it then actually)

It takes a lil while to get used to....but with the added speed, well, it's worth getting used to.

There are lots of neato addons too: addons.mozilla.org/en-...wse/type:1 (or can be found by clicking Tools/add-ons and click on "get extensions" in the lower right hand corner.

But yeh, the speed is what makes the difference Wink

And this site is actually made to work fast in Firefox...and also, if you look at some of the png images I have in the menu and in the download section, they look like they are supposed to (without icky background) just cos Firefox reads stuff properly, unlike IE.

I really should have a "this site is best viewed in firefox" sign on the site...lol

I already had FF1.5 on the computer and just started using it and it was like lightning the difference.

Today FF says you really should upgrade to 2.0 and I thinks, "Okay."

Now its almost as slow as IE. Phhhttttttt!!!!!

I'm using Firefox 2, and it's still working much faster than IE.

It's usually a case of just re-installing it or tweaking some of the settings.

This thread here is good for info on speeding up FF 2.

I also have faster fox installed....which I think helps too.

I'll look at that today. I have tabs set to new window and not to use tabs. It uses tabs anyway. Now it seems I have a spellcheck, that just underlined spellcheck. It seems now I have yet another spellcheck that I need to teach how to spell. Where do I turn it off? I like my old spellcheck, theres not much more I have to teach it.... Smile

Lol, I'll get through this, I swear!! Very Happy

You mean how when u type stuff in it underlines mispelt words in red?

I never bother with teaching it how to spell.

I like having it on though, cos I have a habit of typing too fast and making lots of typos....the underlined bad spelling helps me find and correct stuff fast...

But you can turn that off by doing this:

Go to Tools –> Options –> Advanced

Click on the "General" tab and deselect the box that says “Check my spelling as I type”
Smile
