Directories
Top 60 Directories where you can submit your websites either for free, free with conditions or for a fee. Items with a "C" indicate a site which allows free submissions with conditions. (which could mean to get a free link you have to include a reciprocal link on your site, join their site, become an editor, have a site which isn't commercial etc)
Spending a little bit of money submitting to some of the top paid sites is recommended, especially if you are marketing a product.

Submit articles relating to your website niche, a product you are trying to sell, or just write an article about something you have an opinion on.Write it well, make it interesting and it will be popular.
Include a link to your site, and you have a free link back to you that will keep giving you traffic.
